Group Rental Manager, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
On my first day I was told that Enterprise is a fun and exciting place to work with lots of opportunities. It’s true – the team spirit and loyalty among employees is infectious and excitement is always just around the corner.
An amazing example of employee teamwork was demonstrated during a hurricane that hit our city in October 2003. Although many employees were without water and electricity at home, they came to the office and worked long hours and weekends to ensure that our customers were able to get on the road. Anyone can get compliance, but we want to do well, and we are committed to success.
We’re located in one of the oldest cities on the east coast of Canada. It’s a university town, and I like that our company really mirrors our community here – we’re both energetic with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Personally, I have the opportunity to use my competitive nature to build my leadership skills. I love to play golf, and I play on our group’s hockey team. We don’t win a lot of games, but we love to play!
What I enjoy most about the company is the people – and watching them succeed. Knowing that I’ve helped employees along their career path is very satisfying. It is extremely rewarding to watch them achieve success, both professionally and personally.
There is always a new goal at Enterprise, and the feeling that we’re not done yet. The culture allows me to build my skill set in a fun, energetic environment. I take a great deal of pride in the fact that our customer satisfaction scores here are the second highest in our company. Furthering the success of the company is what gets me out of bed in the morning.
My favorite value? Enterprise is a fun and friendly place, where teamwork rules. Everyone here strives to achieve great goals, but it’s our teamwork that allows us to achieve them.
