The Jack Taylor Founding Values Award honors the regional Groups that exemplify excellence in living the values which were set in motion nearly five decades ago by the award's namesake and Enterprise's founder, Jack Taylor.
The award addresses Groups' activities in the key areas represented in our Cultural Compass. Winners receive a grant from the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation, which they can use to advance qualified nonprofit causes in their local communities.
The Jack Taylor Founding Values Award inspired some amazing achievements among our Groups across the globe this past year alone.
- Enterprise's diversity partnerships more than doubled in the past year, with our Groups reaching out to more than 600 community partners to enhance the company's diversity recruitment efforts
- We now have 176 training, or mentoring, programs in place for employees from underrepresented populations
- Our operating Groups actively partnered with 60 local affiliates of the National Urban League and worked with more than 1,300 additional community organizations in the five countries where we do business
- We identified and supported more than 950 new charitable causes with donations of time, money, or both
- Three-fourths of our Groups are going beyond traditional measures to actively communicate about work/life balance with their employees, and more than half of our Groups reported creating and enhancing family-friendly activities
